India and China have reached an agreement on the withdrawal of troops from a confrontation on the disputed border in the Galwan Valley in Ladakh.
At a meeting on Tuesday, the two countries' military officials decided to withdraw troops from the disputed border.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said the two sides had agreed to take steps to defuse tensions.After a long 11-hour meeting between the two countries' military commanders on the border, the two sides reached an agreement on withdrawing from the confrontation.
Beijing has not officially commented on how many Chinese soldiers were killed in the tragic conflict.
However, at least 20 Indian soldiers were killed and six others were injured in the clashes, according to India.
