Corona child mortality in Europe is less than 1 percent

Times Online Reporter:
In Europe, less than 1 in every 100 children with Covid-19 positives may die. This information has come up in a recent survey conducted across Europe. This information was given in the news of AFP on Friday.

The examination was conveyed in The Lancet Child and Adolescent Health.
A team of researchers led by experts from the United Kingdom, Austria and Spain surveyed 572 children under the age of 18 with corona. Only a quarter of these babies had any medical complications before. This is the opposite picture compared to adults. Most elderly patients have underlying health problems. The scientists found that 70 percent of Covid-19-positive kids required medical clinic treatment and 8 percent required escalated care (ICU). Of the 572 individuals examined, 4 kicked the bucket. Then again, 90 youngsters or 16 percent demonstrated no indications at all.The most basic side effect in kids in the examination is fever. Eighty-five percent had a fever. Then there was 54 percent of respiratory infections. Twenty-five percent had pneumonia symptoms. The researchers found that some children were infected with the virus that causes Covid-19, as well as other respiratory viruses. Because of this many children have had to be taken to ICU.Mark Tabrug of the Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health at University College London, the lead author of the research article, said the disease can be mild in most children and young people. However, healthcare agencies should keep in mind that a significant number of children may have serious conditions and may require intensive care.
